Frederic was as a child apprenticed to a band of pirates by his nurse who had mistaken her master’s instructions to apprentice him to a pilot. At the age of 21, Frederic rejoices that he is free to return to respectable society. He meets Mabel, the daughter of Major-General Stanley. It is love at first sight! But the pirates have a surprise in store for our hero… Jam-packed with sentimental pirates, a completely dotty Major General, not so helpless young maidens, and a bumbling bunch of hopeless policemen!!
