The King’s Speech

The King’s Speech details the unlikely relationship that unfolds between a young royal and a tough aussie speech therapist, Lionel Logue. The stammering future King grapples with the ability to speak to and for the nation. Based on the Academy Award winning film starring Colin Firth, this is the story of how King George VI overcame his fear of public speaking. The 2010 film version received massive critical success. However, screenwriter David Seidler had already received the story as a stage play and was brought to the stage, as originally intended, in the West End in 2012.
